Self-Exclusion Directory: every U.S. state program, and every sportsbook that accepts a written request
Self-exclusion means asking a regulator or an operator to bar you from gambling with them. This page lists how it actually works — where you enroll, what each state requires, and which operators accept a written request by email. It is maintained from the same data Betttr uses in its self-exclusion wizard, and is updated as operators change their process. Last updated: September 2026.
1. National: one enrollment, several states

5. Frequently asked questions
Is self-exclusion permanent?
Treat every self-exclusion as permanent. Some programs and operators offer fixed terms, but reversal is deliberately slow and often not possible.
Does one self-exclusion cover every sportsbook?
No. A state program covers operators licensed in that state; the National Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program covers its participating states; an operator request covers only that operator. Most people need more than one.
Can I self-exclude from DraftKings or FanDuel by email?
No. DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, ESPN BET and Fanatics require you to use the self-exclusion flow inside their own app or site.
